This is what I'm pulling my hair out over: I need to find a decent tutorial on gradients and photo masks in adobe photoshop 7 so that I can make decent banners and image blendings and shit and I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING.


So, if anyone has some useful info, I would appreciate it. And now I'm off to the forums...

Long time no update and this journal is fever-induced, so I apologise if this makes very little sense. I'll try to keep it coherent.

Yeah so I was reading an issue in someone else's journal..something about people complaining about not getting comments. Well, true, that can be discouraging but it doesn't get you what you want any faster. If you want comments,improve. Do art comissions and gift art.
Really, it took me years for my stuff to get noticed and I highly suspect I owe a lot to that being that Kingdom Hearts is very popular right now and I draw it.

(The proof being: look at how much attention the KH stuff gets in realtion to...I dunno, my AVATAR TLAB art...and I draw it much the same way I draw my other stuff....)

That's not my pet peeve though; that's people being people. MY pet peeve is when artists that are allready freaking popular and have talent beyond believing complain that they only got 80 +faves and not they're usual 500 or whatever. That kind of conceit drives me up the UP THE WALL. Get over yourself! The last time I checked, not that many of us are getting payed for this.

It is your priveledge, not your right , to get comments and faves. Or that new collection thingy they started.

Seriously, c'mon. I guess the advantage to not have started out that popular, not that I'm even popular now, is that I know what its like to get NOTHING. Now THAT is suckage.

I have been amazed and happy when any piece of mine get 5 faves let alone 50. (roles eyes)

On a seperate note, I should be posting some new stuff soon. I want to try and draw some FMA stuff, even if it turns cross over. Gotta find the time to color it. ^^ I kind of wish I was still into YGO b/c I could do so much better now than what I was doing years ago; one of the cause being I learned how to use copic markers. (And I still don't know EVERYTHING about copic markers.)

Seriously, at the next anime convention I go to, I hope there is a panel on markers and coloring , I'd love to sit in and take notes.

I redid Axel's Captive and Behave Yourself - Or Else.

Two pictures I was considering deleting, but despite the fact they sucked, people seemed to like them anyway. If you wanted to check them out, they are a little different, but better I think.

There is more art to come soon hopefully this evening if I can just get around to coloring it all. Seriously, I have like five pictures inked and none colored.

Has this ever happened to anyone, you get into this drawing high and then you just don't feel like coloring anything?

It happens to me. A lot. Sucks too. And I just bought two new copic markers.

Well, there is quite a bit to do today, so I'm going to chortle evilly and be on my way.

I was cleaning out my gallery today, throwing out some of the old stuff. I was happy to discover that going backward to forward my art HAS vastly imroved over the years, especially where my coloring is concerned. I'm still not as good as I want to be, though I am self taught for the most part.

I'm kind of in a Kingdom Hearts rut though. I'm going to try to churn out some different stuff. I'm slowly becoming a fan of Avatar. It's a suprisingly good serious. My favorite characters are Zuko, Iroh, Tophe and Katara. I'd like to try drawing them. As I type this, I'm half inspired to draw a duel between Azula and Larxene just to see whose lightening abilities would triumph. This would either turn out very cool or produce lulz.

Anyway...I have been noticing the faves I've been getting and even though I don't ' Hi! thanks!' , thanks! and OMG thanks! to every single one I do see them and they are appreciated. Thankyou all so much.

Well, right about now I need to go and do my college student thing - study. Ja ne.
